About Me
I am a researcher in Literature, Gender, and Cultural Studies at the University of Buenos Aires and CONICET.
I received my Ph.D. in Literature at the University of California, San Diego. My first job was in the Department of Romance Languages at the University of Oregon where I also taught in the Comparative Literature Program. After tenure, I moved to Mexico City where I was a researcher at the Instituto Mora. In Mexico I coordinated graduate programs in Cultural Studies and in Arts Administration in collaboration with the Centro Nacional de las Artes (CENART).
I returned to my native Argentina in 2010.
I work at the intersections of the literary and the social, and I am interested in the multiple articulations between power, lettered culture, and forms of subalternity, and resistance. I therefore treat questions of gender, sexualities, race, and ethnicity. I have always worked at the crossroads between different languages, and also between different disciplines.
